Job description:

A packer prepares products for shipment by inspecting, wrapping, and sealing items in containers, ensuring order accuracy and compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Order Preparation: Selecting, picking, and packing items based on, packing slips and customer orders.
Quality Control: Inspecting items for damage or missing parts before sealing.
Packaging Operations: Wrapping, securing, and labeling products using tools like tape guns and forklifts.
Inventory & Safety: Maintaining an accurate inventory database and keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Reporting: Reporting defective products or packing material shortages to supervisors.

Key Requirements & Skills

Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate order fulfillment to minimize errors.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
Time Management: Working efficiently to meet daily packing quotas and shipping deadlines.
Communication: Interacting with team members and reporting issues to managers.
Basic Technical Skills: Using inventory systems, scanners, or basic math skills.

Common Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is typically preferred.
Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment role is often requested.
