Job Description: Project Coordinator & Purchase

Location: FMC Fortuna building, 4th floor, Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal, 700020
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years
Compensation: Up to ₹27,000/- per month (In-hand)
Job Type: Contractual (1-Year Contract, extendable based on performance and project requirements)

Ambica Dhatu Pvt Ltd is a leading player in the metal and manufacturing sector. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, quality, and timely project delivery. We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented professional to join our team in Kolkata.

Position Summary

As a Project Coordinator & Purchase, you will bridge the gap between project execution and supply chain management. You will be responsible for tracking project timelines, coordinating with internal teams, and managing the end-to-end procurement of materials required for our operations.

Roles and Responsibilities1. Procurement & Purchase Management

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to procure raw materials, consumables, and project equipment at competitive prices.
Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) and issue Purchase Orders (PO) accurately in the system.
Track shipments and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to the site.
Verify incoming material invoices against POs and coordinate with the Accounts team for timely vendor payments.
Maintain an updated database of reliable vendors and suppliers.

2. Project Coordination

Act as the central point of contact between the project site, engineering teams, and management.
Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring any delays are flagged early.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily/weekly progress reports, material dispatch logs, and inventory statuses.
Coordinate logistics for the smooth movement of materials from suppliers to project sites.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience handling both project coordination and material procurement (experience in manufacturing, metals, or construction sectors is highly preferred).
Technical Skills: * Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel for data tracking and reporting).
Familiarity with ERP software or accounting tools (like Tally or SAP) is a strong plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication skills (English, Hindi, and Bengali).
Ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
