Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for energetic, self-motivated, and target-driven professionals to join our Field Sales team. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for acquiring educational institutions as subscribers to the Educrib platform by conducting field visits, delivering product demonstrations, building relationships with key decision-makers, and achieving monthly sales targets. This is a field-based B2B sales role involving regular travel within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Identify and approach potential educational institutions within the assigned territory
Generate new business through field visits, referrals, networking, and cold outreach
Build a strong sales pipeline and maintain continuous prospecting activities

Client Meetings

Meet Principals, Directors, Chairpersons, Correspondents, Administrators, and Institution Owners
Understand the institution's requirements and recommend Educrib
Deliver effective product presentations and live demonstrations

Sales & Revenue

Achieve assigned monthly revenue and customer acquisition targets
Prepare proposals and quotations
Negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines
Close sales and complete documentation

Relationship Management

Build long-term relationships with institutions
Ensure smooth onboarding after successful subscription
Coordinate with internal teams for profile activation and customer support

CRM & Reporting

Update daily visit reports and sales activities in the CRM
Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and customer interactions
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports

Market Intelligence

Monitor competitor activities and market trends
Share customer feedback with the management team
Identify new business opportunities in the education sector

Daily Activity Expectations

Minimum 6 institutional visits per day
Conduct 2–3 product demonstrations daily
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through regular follow-ups
Update CRM before the end of each working day

Eligibility

Education

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline; MBA/BBA graduates are preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

0–3 years of experience in Field Sales, B2B Sales, EdTech, SaaS, Banking, Insurance, Telecom, or Institutional Sales. Fresh graduates with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales are encouraged to apply.

Candidate Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Valid two-wheeler driving license
Own two-wheeler preferred
Smartphone with internet connectivity

Language Requirements

Malayalam – Mandatory
English – Mandatory
Hindi – Preferred
Knowledge of additional South Indian languages (Tamil, Kannada, or Telugu) will be an added advantage.
