About OnGrid
OnGrid is a leading digital trust platform offering digital KYC, verifications, and background checks for onboarding employees, contractors users, merchants, customers, etc. Founded by IIT-B alumni, OnGrid has completed more than 1 billion+ verification transactions across 4000+ happy clients.
At OnGrid, we are focused on redefining and reimagining trust, safety, compliance and accountability through our platforms OnGrid, eLockr, and Gridlines. Having built these basic pillars of trust (and creating a profitable venture with 400+ full-time people in the process), we now want our imagination to be let loose and think of avenues never explored, and execute in ways never implemented before.
In this pursuit, we are looking for a motivated Fleet Manager with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications, to join us, driving this vision, and taking it to a larger scale. If you are a visionary, always on the lookout for finding the right solutions, and a technology geek, constantly seeking to learn and improve your skillset, then you are the type of person we are looking for.
Role Objective: Aggressively build and scale a high-volume network of direct field executives (verifiers) as the primary engine for our physical verification operations. This role strictly focuses on driving down the blended cost-per-verification by maximizing our direct gig-workforce, while strategically leveraging third-party agency partners to guarantee 100% pin-code coverage where direct sourcing is currently developing.
1. Direct Executive (Gig-Worker) Sourcing [Primary Focus]
-
Design and execute hyper-local recruitment strategies to build a massive, independent verifier network across target pin codes, prioritizing cost-efficiency.
-
Leverage local job boards, social media, refer-and-earn programs, and community marketing to create a continuous, low-cost acquisition funnel for field executives.
-
Establish scalable systems for bulk-hiring and rapid deployment of direct verifiers to support fluctuating volume demands.
2. Strategic Partner & Vendor Sourcing [Secondary/Coverage Focus]
-
Identify and onboard regional third-party agencies specifically to plug coverage gaps in Tier 2/3 cities, remote pin codes, or areas where direct sourcing is temporarily unviable.
-
Negotiate aggressive commercial terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with partners to ensure vendor costs do not heavily dilute the savings generated by the direct network.
-
Dynamically shift volumes from vendors to direct executives as local gig-worker capacity matures.
3. Cost Optimization & Margin Control
-
Continuously monitor the ratio of direct versus vendor verifications to protect and expand gross margins.
-
Track the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) for direct verifiers and optimize sourcing channels for the lowest cost per hire.
4. Onboarding, Tech Enablement & Quality
-
Streamline the digital onboarding journey to ensure direct executives go from "sourced" to "first verification" in the shortest possible turnaround time.
-
Ensure all personnel are rigorously trained on standard operating procedures (SOPs), mobile app usage, and critical data capture protocols (e.g., live-camera captures, geotagging, and Lat/Long QC standards).
-
4-7 years in fleet sourcing, gig-worker acquisition, or hyper-local network expansion. Experience scaling a direct fleet for e-commerce, food delivery, or background verification is mandatory.
-
A high-bias for action with a "boots-on-the-ground" mentality for building local direct networks from scratch.
-
Strong understanding of unit economics, margin protection, and vendor negotiation.
-
Comfortable analyzing pin-code level volume data to decide where to deploy direct recruitment resources versus activating a vendor.
-
Percentage of total verifications completed by direct gig-workers vs. vendors.
-
Month-over-month reduction in the blended average cost-per-verification.
-
Average turnaround time from sourcing a gig-worker to their first successful physical visit.
-
Maintaining 100% serviceability across required regions through the combined direct/vendor hybrid model
