Full job description

SEO Specialist Intern

Stipend: ₹7,000 per month
Probation Period: 3 months

About the Role

We’re looking for an SEO Specialist Intern who can support the organic growth strategies of Pickle Fresh (D2C Brand) and Modern Theory (Branding Agency).

You will be responsible for improving search rankings, increasing organic traffic, generating qualified leads, and supporting long-term business growth through technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and off-page SEO.

Key Responsibilities SEO Strategy

Develop and execute SEO strategies for both businesses.
Conduct comprehensive keyword research for commercial and informational search intent.
Identify new organic growth opportunities and content gaps.
Monitor competitors and recommend strategies to outperform them.

On-Page SEO

Optimize website pages, landing pages, blogs, and product pages.
Write and optimize SEO titles, meta descriptions, URLs, image alt tags, and internal links.
Improve content structure for better rankings and user experience.
Ensure that all new pages follow SEO best practices.

Technical SEO

Perform regular technical SEO audits.
Fix crawl errors, indexing issues, redirects, canonical tags, and duplicate content.
Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, and site architecture.
Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, structured data (schema markup), and Google Search Console issues.

Content SEO

Create an SEO content roadmap.
Work with designers, copywriters, and marketing teams to publish high-quality content.
Optimize existing content for better rankings.
Identify high-potential blog topics and pillar pages.

E-commerce SEO – Pickle Fresh

Optimize Shopify product pages, collections, and category pages.
Improve rankings for product-related and transactional keywords.
Optimize collection structures, navigation, and internal linking.
Monitor product visibility and organic sales performance.

Agency SEO – Modern Theory

Optimize service pages for branding, packaging design, website design, and digital marketing services.
Generate qualified B2B leads through organic search.
Improve rankings for high-intent service keywords.
Build authority through strategic content and SEO initiatives.

Off-Page SEO

Build high-quality backlinks using ethical, white-hat SEO practices.
Manage outreach campaigns and digital PR opportunities.
Identify partnership and guest-posting opportunities.
Monitor backlink quality and domain authority.

Analytics and Reporting

Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, impressions, clicks, and conversions.
Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports.
Track KPIs, including organic sessions, keyword growth, CTR, bounce rate, and conversions.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to the leadership team.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO.
Experience with Shopify SEO.
Experience in optimizing service-based business websites.
Strong knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
Experience with SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or Moz.
Knowledge of Core Web Vitals and website performance optimization.
Understanding of schema markup and structured data.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with local SEO and e-commerce SEO.
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with WordPress and Shopify.
Experience using Looker Studio for SEO reporting.
Understanding of AI-assisted SEO workflows and content optimization.

Growth in organic traffic.
Improvement in keyword rankings.
Increase in qualified leads for Modern Theory.
Growth in organic sales for Pickle Fresh.
Higher click-through rates (CTR) from search results.
Improved Core Web Vitals and technical SEO health.

Growth in non-branded organic traffic.
Improvement in organic conversion rates.
