Role Purpose
The General Manager will lead the performance, growth and day-to-day management of CORE's Indian operations. The role will align the team with the company's objectives, improve student recruitment, establish accountability and reduce the Managing Director's involvement in routine operational matters. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong people-management, commercial and execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of CORE's offices in India. Lead branch managers and the counselling, admissions, filing, marketing and administration teams. Set and monitor monthly targets for enquiries, counselling, applications, offers, fee payments, visas, enrolments and revenue. Review the complete student-recruitment pipeline and improve conversion at every stage. Ensure timely contact, systematic follow-up and clear next actions for all enquiries and active clients. Conduct regular operational and performance meetings and ensure agreed actions are completed. Improve staff motivation, discipline, productivity, teamwork and accountability. Identify underperformance and implement coaching or documented performance-improvement measures. Ensure proper use of the CRM, with accurate statuses, tasks, notes and deadlines. Establish clear workflows, responsibilities and turnaround times for each department. Ensure timely and accurate processing of admission and visa-related work. Coordinate effectively between the India, New Zealand and Australia offices. Work with marketing to improve lead quality, campaign performance and return on expenditure. Manage operational complaints and promptly escalate serious compliance or reputational risks. Submit concise weekly and monthly reports covering performance, risks and required decisions. Recommend improvements to staffing, training, incentives, systems and processes. Key Performance Indicators Achievement of agreed application, enrolment, revenue and profitability targets. Improvement in enquiry-to-appointment, appointment-to-application and application-to-enrolment conversion. At least 95% of new enquiries contacted within the prescribed timeframe. At least 95% compliance with CRM, task-management and reporting requirements. Timely processing of complete admission and visa applications. Reduction in unattended enquiries, delayed matters, avoidable errors and client complaints. Regular staff reviews and prompt management of underperformance. Improved staff engagement, productivity and accountability. Measurable reduction in routine matters requiring the Managing Director's intervention.
Page 1 CORE IMMIGRATION SERVICES | CONFIDENTIAL RECRUITMENT BRIEF Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's or master's degree in business, management, marketing or a related field. Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management or operations role. Proven responsibility for teams, performance targets and operational outcomes. Experience managing multiple departments or branches is strongly preferred.
Experience in international education, immigration, training, financial services or another client-service industry is preferred. First 90-Day Expectations Review the team, systems, pipeline, workflows and branch performance. Identify operational weaknesses, revenue leakage and immediate improvement opportunities. Establish clear responsibilities, targets, KPIs, reporting and meeting structures. Improve enquiry follow-up and progress delayed applications. Address material performance and training gaps. Submit and begin implementing a practical operational and growth plan. Demonstrate measurable improvement in accountability, productivity and student recruitment
Pay: ₹22,359.34 - ₹97,904.82 per month
