Business Development Manager

Advertising & Video Production | Kathputlee Arts & Films Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Remote | (Revenue Generation, In-House)| Reports to: Founder

This is not a lead-generation role, and it is not a role for someone learning the industry on the job.

About Kathputlee Arts & Films

Kathputlee Arts & Films is a creative production house working with leading brands and agencies on ad films, corporate films, animation, timelapse projects, branded content, and social media campaigns — alongside our own slate of original film work, with titles in active development and theatrical release. We are not a service vendor selling generic video packages; we are a production house with real creative and film credibility, and we want a BDM who can sell that story convincingly because they've lived it.

The Role

We need a closer who already speaks the language of production — someone who has sold video production, advertising, or media services in the B2B space, owns a live network of brand and agency contacts, understands how a shoot, a pitch, and a delivery timeline actually work, and is confident committing to monthly revenue targets linked to their compensation.

If your background is B2B/SaaS/IT sales and you're pivoting into media — this role is not for you. We are specifically looking for someone coming from an ad agency, production house, or media company, who can walk into a client conversation and already understand what we do without it being explained to them.

What You Will Own

Own the complete sales cycle — prospecting, pitching, proposal, negotiation, and deal closure — for video production and advertising services
Achieve agreed monthly revenue targets (realized revenue credited to the company, not just pipeline)
Understand client advertising and brand objectives and translate them into communication and content strategies alongside our creative and production team
Build and convert a B2B network of brand managers, marketing heads, and agency partners
Prepare winning proposals, pitch decks, and commercial quotations that reflect a real understanding of production timelines and costs
Grow existing accounts through repeat business and referrals; maintain long-term client relationships
Ensure revenue realization — follow up on invoicing and payment collection
Handle client escalations professionally and protect the relationship
Hold your own in the room with producers, directors, and creative leads — you're not just relaying client asks, you understand what's feasible

Who You Are

3–6 years of business development / sales experience, with at least 2 years specifically inside an advertising agency, production house, media company, or video/content services company (mandatory — no exceptions)
You've sold production or media services before — not software, not generic corporate services
Proven track record of new business acquisition — you should be able to show real numbers and name real clients/projects in the interview
Strong working understanding of how video production actually happens — pre-production, shoot days, post, delivery — and how brands use these services
Excellent proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills
Comfortable with performance-linked compensation and monthly target reviews
You build structure, not dependency — you don't wait to be told what to do
Graduate (any discipline); fluent English and Hindi

Compensation

salary: Up to 12LPA
Performance incentive: paid monthly on realized revenue,
Salary revision reviewed against revenue performance at defined milestones
