About the Role
Stream Perfect Global Services (SPGS) is looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Software Developer – Python with strong experience in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Video Analytics.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and optimizing software solutions that process live and recorded CCTV/IP camera video streams and convert video data into actionable intelligence.
The role will involve working on AI-powered video analytics applications, including object detection, people analytics, activity recognition, behavioral analysis, safety and hygiene monitoring, SOP compliance and real-time event detection.
The candidate will work closely with our AI/ML, Computer Vision, Product, DevOps and Software Engineering teams to build and deploy scalable video analytics services for enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Python Software Development
- Design, develop and maintain high-performance software applications using Python.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, microservices and video analytics applications.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable and production-ready code.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, testing and performance optimization.
- Take ownership of software modules from development through deployment and production support.
2. Computer Vision & Video Analytics
- Develop and integrate Computer Vision and AI/ML algorithms for real-world video analytics applications.
- Process live CCTV/IP camera streams and recorded video.
- Work with RTSP, ONVIF, IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems and video streaming technologies.
- Develop solutions for:
- People detection and counting
- Person tracking
- Object detection and classification
- Face detection/recognition
- PPE and safety compliance
- Staff/customer interaction analytics
- Queue monitoring
- Intrusion and unauthorized-entry detection
- Fall detection
- Crowd detection
- Vehicle detection and tracking
- Loitering and dwell-time analysis
- Hygiene and SOP compliance
- Abnormal activity detection
- Real-time event and alert generation
3. AI/ML Model Integration
- Integrate trained AI/ML and Deep Learning models into production applications.
- Work with frameworks and technologies such as YOLO, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV and related Computer Vision frameworks.
- Optimize models for real-time video processing.
- Work on model inference, preprocessing, post-processing and tracking pipelines.
- Evaluate model accuracy, false positives, false negatives and performance.
- Assist AI/ML engineers in improving model performance for real-world CCTV environments.
4. Real-Time Video Processing
- Build and optimize real-time video processing pipelines.
- Work with multiple simultaneous camera streams.
- Develop efficient frame-processing and inference pipelines.
- Work with technologies such as OpenCV, FFmpeg and GStreamer.
- Handle video decoding, frame extraction, resizing, streaming and event processing.
- Optimize CPU/GPU utilization for large-scale deployments.
- Develop solutions capable of processing multiple CCTV streams concurrently.
5. Backend & API Development
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI, Flask or Django.
- Build APIs for video analytics configuration, event management and reporting.
- Develop real-time event and alert communication services.
- Integrate video analytics engines with web applications and enterprise platforms.
- Work with WebSockets, messaging systems and event-driven architectures where required.
6. AI Analytics Platform Development
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of SPgS.eSecure365, SPGS's AI-powered video monitoring and analytics platform.
- Develop modules for centralized monitoring, analytics, alerts and reporting.
- Enable integration of multiple camera locations and enterprise sites.
- Develop configurable AI rules and analytics based on customer requirements.
- Support multi-site and multi-camera deployments.
7. Database & Data Engineering
- Design and maintain databases for analytics events, configurations, alerts and reports.
- Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis or equivalent technologies.
- Develop efficient data-processing pipelines.
- Optimize database queries and data storage for large volumes of video analytics events.
8. Cloud, GPU & Deployment
- Deploy AI/ML and video analytics applications on Linux and cloud/server environments.
- Work with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or equivalent cloud platforms will be an advantage.
- Work with NVIDIA GPUs and CUDA-based environments for AI inference.
- Optimize applications for GPU/CPU resource utilization.
- Support deployment of AI video analytics solutions at customer locations and cloud environments.
9. System Integration
- Integrate AI video analytics with:
- CCTV/IP cameras
- DVR/NVR systems
- VMS platforms
- IoT devices
- Access-control systems
- Enterprise applications
- Notification platforms
- Dashboards and reporting systems
- Troubleshoot integration and connectivity issues.
10. Research & Innovation
- Stay updated with developments in Generative AI, Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Video Analytics.
- Evaluate new AI models, frameworks and technologies.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new video analytics use cases.
- Research and implement improvements in detection accuracy, tracking and inference performance.
