Job Title: Academic Counsellor

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Nexora Academy Private Limited is seeking a confident, student-focused, and target-oriented Academic Counsellor to support student admissions and counselling operations for our EdTech and professional training programs.

The candidate will be responsible for guiding students and professionals in selecting suitable academic and career-oriented programs, handling admission inquiries, maintaining follow-ups, and supporting the overall student enrollment process. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, counselling, coordination, and relationship management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment.

Candidates with prior experience in academic counselling, admissions, telecalling, customer relationship management, or EdTech sales will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students and professionals regarding courses, certifications, career opportunities, and training programs.
Handle inbound and outbound calls related to admissions and course inquiries.
Follow up with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, emails, and digital platforms.
Convert inquiries into admissions and support monthly enrollment targets.
Understand student requirements and recommend suitable academic programs.
Maintain accurate student inquiry records, follow-up reports, and admission documentation.
Coordinate with academic, operations, and placement departments for smooth student onboarding.
Support marketing campaigns, seminars, webinars, educational events, and admission drives.
Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleges, and institutional partners.
Ensure professional communication and timely response to all inquiries.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling student data and records.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office, Google Sheets, CRM systems, and digital communication tools.
Ability to handle counselling, follow-ups, and student relationship management.
Strong convincing and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under targets and deadlines.
Prior experience in EdTech, Academic Counselling, Admissions, Telecalling, or Sales preferred.

Preferred Skills

Student counselling and admission handling exposure.
Knowledge of EdTech / Academic / Training industry operations.
Strong follow-up and lead conversion skills.
Professional communication and relationship management abilities.
Fluency in English and Malayalam preferred.

Performance Metrics

Monthly admission conversion performance.
Lead follow-up and counselling efficiency.
Accuracy of admission records and reporting.
Student response and communication quality.
Coordination effectiveness with internal departments.
Contribution towards branch admission and operational targets.
