LinguoPrep is an online language-training company providing CELPIP, IELTS, PTE, French and other language preparation programs to students and professionals preparing for immigration, permanent residence, study abroad and career opportunities.
We operate a lead-driven online sales model, where students enquire through digital channels and are counselled through phone and WhatsApp before direct enrollment or a demo class.
We are hiring a Sales Manager who can take complete ownership of the sales team and enrollment numbers.
This is not a reporting-only or coordination role.
The Sales Manager will be expected to actively manage counsellors, leads, follow-ups, demos, conversions and daily sales performance.
Your Main Responsibility
You will be responsible for the complete student sales funnel:
New Lead → Contact → Counselling → Demo/Direct Closing → Follow-Up → Enrollment
Your primary objective will be to generate the maximum possible enrollments from the available leads.
Key Responsibilities1. Manage the Sales & Counselling Team
- Manage and supervise the complete team of sales counsellors.
- Set counsellor-wise daily, weekly and monthly enrollment targets.
- Review performance every day.
- Identify counsellors who are underperforming.
- Coach counsellors on counselling, objection handling, follow-ups and closing.
- Maintain discipline and accountability in a remote team.
- Ensure every counsellor understands their targets and current achievement.
2. Lead Management & Utilization
- Ensure every genuine new lead is properly assigned.
- Ensure leads are contacted quickly.
- Track whether counsellors are actually working on their assigned leads.
- Prevent leads from being ignored or forgotten.
- Distribute leads according to counsellor workload and performance.
- Ensure lead status is correctly updated in CRM/reporting systems.
- Identify counsellors who are receiving leads but not converting them.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for lead utilization, not simply lead distribution.
3. Student Counselling & Closing
You must be comfortable personally speaking with students.
You will be expected to:
- Understand the student's requirement.
- Explain the correct course/program.
- Handle fee objections.
- Handle difficult or confused students.
- Support counsellors with high-potential leads.
- Take over important leads when senior counselling is required.
- Help the team close students instead of repeatedly following up without direction.
4. Follow-Up Management
Follow-up discipline is a major part of this position.
You must ensure that counsellors do not only focus on fresh leads.
You will monitor:
- Interested students
- Hot leads
- Demo-pending students
- Demo-attended students
- Payment-pending students
- Students requiring another follow-up
- Older opportunities that can still be converted
Every important lead should have a clear next action.
5. Demo Conversion
LinguoPrep uses demo classes as an important part of the sales process.
You will be responsible for:
- Proper demo booking
- Student reminders
- Demo attendance
- Coordination with the academic team
- Immediate post-demo follow-up
- Tracking demo-to-enrollment conversion
- Identifying why students attend demos but do not enroll
The objective is not just to book demos — it is to convert demos into paid students.
6. Sales Funnel & Conversion Tracking
You should be comfortable working with numbers.
You will regularly track:
- Leads Received
- Leads Contacted
- Interested Students
- Direct Enrollments
- Demos Booked
- Demos Attended
- After-Demo Enrollments
- Total Enrollments
- Counselor-wise Conversion %
- Overall Conversion %
- Target vs Achievement
You should be able to identify where conversion is dropping and why.
Example:
If leads are sufficient but enrollments are low, you should be able to determine whether the problem is:
Contact → Counselling → Demo Booking → Demo Attendance → Follow-Up → Closing
and then take corrective action.
7. Improve Counsellor Performance
The Sales Manager should regularly:
- Review calls/conversations.
- Identify counselling mistakes.
- Improve opening conversations.
- Improve objection handling.
- Improve course explanation.
- Improve follow-up quality.
- Improve closing techniques.
- Train weak counsellors.
- Share successful approaches across the team.
We need someone who can improve the team's conversion rate, not someone who only asks counsellors for daily reports.
8. Reporting to Management
Maintain simple and accurate sales reporting.
Management should be able to clearly understand:
- How many leads were received
- How effectively leads were utilized
- How each counsellor is performing
- How many demos were booked and attended
- How many students enrolled
- Current conversion %
- Target vs achievement
- Where the sales funnel is weak
- What corrective action is being taken
Reports should help management make decisions, not simply create more data.
9. Coordination With Academic Team
Work closely with trainers and the academic team regarding:
- Demo schedules
- Batch availability
- Student requirements
- Special student cases
- Course information
- Trainer availability
- Sales-to-academic handover
Performance Ownership
You will be directly accountable for:

Candidate may be given a situation involving low conversions or counsellor underperformance and asked how they would solve it.
