Appointment Setter / Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Full-Time | Remote | 3+ Years Experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Appointment Setter / Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team on a full-time remote basis.

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of hands-on experience in B2B sales, outbound prospecting, appointment setting, or business development and be confident in initiating conversations with potential clients, identifying their needs, qualifying prospects, and booking sales meetings.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that successful appointment setting is not about simply sending messages or making calls — it is about starting relevant conversations with the right prospects and converting those conversations into qualified opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, email, phone calls, and other relevant channels.
Research target companies, industries, and decision-makers to identify potential prospects.
Build and maintain targeted prospect lists.
Initiate conversations with prospects using personalized and relevant messaging.
Follow up consistently with prospects across multiple touchpoints.
Understand prospect requirements, challenges, and business needs.
Qualify prospects based on defined criteria such as need, authority, budget, and potential fit.
Schedule qualified appointments and discovery calls for the sales team.
Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, follow-ups, and meeting outcomes.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
Track outreach and appointment-setting performance.
Continuously test and improve messaging, prospecting strategies, and follow-up approaches.
Meet agreed activity and performance targets.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in appointment setting, SDR, B2B sales, inside sales, business development, or outbound sales.
Proven experience in generating and qualifying B2B leads.
Strong understanding of outbound sales and prospecting processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong conversational and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to communicate with business owners, founders, executives, and decision-makers.
Experience with LinkedIn prospecting and email outreach is highly preferred.
Experience using CRM systems and sales/prospecting tools.
Strong follow-up and objection-handling skills.
Ability to understand a prospect's business problem rather than simply pitching a service/product.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in B2B SaaS, IT Services, Technology, Digital Marketing, Consulting, Agencies, or other B2B industries will be preferred.

Experience with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, email outreach tools, prospecting databases, and sales engagement platforms is an advantage.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the complete prospecting and appointment-setting process:

Research → Prospect → Outreach → Follow-Up → Qualify → Book Meeting → Handover

The right candidate should be comfortable speaking with prospects, handling initial objections, creating genuine conversations, and identifying whether a prospect is actually a good fit.

Quality matters more than simply generating a high number of activities.

Performance will primarily be evaluated based on:

Qualified prospects generated
Response and engagement rates
Meaningful sales conversations
Qualified meetings booked
Meeting show-up rate
Lead-to-meeting conversion rate
Quality of opportunities generated
Consistency of follow-up and CRM management
