Realtaspaces Infra Solutions LLP is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Engineer to join our Project Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, contractor billing, client billing, cost monitoring, and project documentation while ensuring timely and accurate financial control of construction and redevelopment projects.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in SRA, redevelopment, residential, commercial, and high-rise construction projects.
Position Purpose
To manage project billing, quantity surveying, cost control, and contract administration by ensuring accurate measurements, timely preparation and verification of bills, and effective coordination between project teams, contractors, consultants, and the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities Quantity Surveying & Estimation
- Prepare quantity take-offs from approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Develop and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Prepare cost estimates and rate analyses for project activities.
- Verify quantities executed at site against approved drawings and work orders.
Contractor Billing
- Prepare and certify Running Account (RA) Bills.
- Verify contractor measurements and work completion.
- Review subcontractor bills and payment recommendations.
- Monitor billing schedules and payment milestones.
- Process final bills and contract closure documentation.
Client Billing
- Prepare client invoices based on project milestones and contractual terms.
- Maintain billing records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with clients for billing approvals and payment follow-ups.
- Track receivables and outstanding invoices.
Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare project cost reports and variance analyses.
- Support the Project Manager in cost planning and financial forecasting.
Contract Administration
- Review work orders, contracts, and billing clauses.
- Prepare variation orders, extra item statements, and claims.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and payment terms.
- Maintain billing registers and contract documentation.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, Structural Consultants, MEP Consultants, Contractors, and the Finance Department.
- Resolve billing-related issues through effective coordination.
- Attend site meetings and progress review meetings.
- Support project planning and execution through timely financial reporting.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain BOQ records, measurement books (MB), RA bills, variation registers, and billing files.
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Billing MIS Reports.
- Track project progress against billing milestones.
- Maintain complete documentation for audits and management review.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure billing complies with contract conditions, company policies, and project specifications.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate project documentation for statutory and financial compliance.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience as a Billing Engineer or Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience in Real Estate, Redevelopment, SRA Projects, Residential, Commercial, or High-Rise Construction is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with BOQ preparation, RA Billing, Quantity Surveying, Cost Estimation, Contract Administration, and Project Cost Control.
