Your role :
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Finance / Data Analyst who will support business performance analysis, MIS reporting, and financial insights generation. The role will closely partner with the Business Finance team and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze key metrics, track performance, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
What would you do at Khatabook?
1.Business & Data Analytics
Analyze historical data, business trends, and operational metrics to generate actionable insights for business strategy and decision-making.
Perform variance analysis (Plan vs Actual) and identify key drivers impacting business performance.
2.Lending Business Performance
Track and analyze lending metrics such as loan disbursements, collections,portfolio performance, NPA trends, and unit economics.
3.SaaS Revenue & Growth Metrics
Track SaaS performance metrics.Support revenue analysis and subscription performance
4.MIS & Business Reporting
Prepare and manage periodic MIS reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for leadership reviews.
Build structured reporting frameworks for business, finance, and operational metrics.
5.AOP Planning & Forecasting
Support the preparation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including revenue,cost, and business metrics planning.Analyze forecast accuracy and provide insights to improve planning assumptions.
6.Business Finance Partnering
Work closely with product, growth, operations, and lending teams to support financial planning and business performance analysis.
Assist in cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives.
7.Cost & P&L Analysis
Track and analyze central and functional costs, monitor budgets, and evaluate drivers impacting margins and profitability.
8.Data Preparation & Ad-hoc Analysis
Clean, structure, and validate datasets for business analysis.
Provide ad-hoc analytical support for strategic initiatives and leadership decision-making.
What are we looking for?
1–3 years of experience in Business Finance, Financial Analysis, or Data Analytics
Prior experience in fintech, lending, SaaS, or startup environments Preferred.
Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for financial and data analysis.
Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Metabase, or other BI tools is a plus.
Understanding of P&L, cost structures, and business performance metrics
.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Educational Qualifications:
CA (Chartered Accountant)
