Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and client-facing UI Designer with 4-6 years of experience to design intuitive, visually compelling digital interfaces for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Design and brings hands-on experience within the IT or technology sector, combining strong visual design capability with the confidence to engage directly with clients. This role suits a designer who can independently own the design process from client brief to final handoff, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced product environment. The position is open to both full-time and part-time engagement based on candidate suitability.
Key Responsibilities - Design
· Design clean, modern, and user-centric interfaces for web and mobile applications
· Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity design deliverables
· Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, component libraries, and brand consistency
· Translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive interface solutions
· Design responsive layouts optimized across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints
· Apply UI best practices in typography, colour theory, spacing, hierarchy, and accessibility
· Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and stakeholder input
· Create marketing and product collateral including landing pages, banners, and presentation assets
· Prepare and deliver design handoff files with clear specifications for development teams
Key Responsibilities - Client Handling
· Engage directly with clients to gather design requirements, understand objectives, and clarify scope
· Present design concepts, rationale, and iterations to clients with confidence and clarity
· Manage client feedback cycles and incorporate revisions while protecting design integrity
· Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships throughout project engagements
· Manage client expectations around timelines, deliverables, and design scope
· Participate in client calls, kick-off meetings, review sessions, and project walkthroughs
· Prepare design proposals, estimates, and scope documents in coordination with the delivery team
Key Responsibilities - Collaboration
· Work closely with developers to ensure accurate, pixel-perfect implementation of designs
· Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the delivery cycle
· Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and agile ceremonies
· Contribute to design critiques and mentor junior designers where applicable
· Maintain organized design files, version control, and project documentation
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Design (B.Des) or an equivalent design qualification
· 4-6 years of professional UI design experience, preferably within IT or technology organizations
· Demonstrated experience handling clients directly, including presentations and requirement discussions
· Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile interface design work
· Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator
· Solid understanding of design systems, component-based design, and responsive design principles
· Working knowledge of UX principles, user flows, and information architecture
· Understanding of front-end constraints (HTML/CSS awareness) to design implementable interfaces
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
· Strong attention to detail and a high standard for visual craft
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience designing enterprise or B2B software interfaces
· Familiarity with prototyping and motion tools (Framer, Principle, After Effects)
· Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
· Experience conducting or supporting usability testing and user research
· Basic understanding of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
· Experience working in agile product teams
· Certifications in UI/UX design or Human-Computer Interaction
