We are looking for Customer Services Rolling Stock (CS RS) Bid Manager
You’ll make a difference by
- In your role as CS RS Bid Manager, you will be responsible to lead the full bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through submission and post-bid activities.
- Manage RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, tenders, and proposal responses.
- Develop bid plans, timelines, governance, and review schedules. Coordinate bid kick-off meetings and stakeholder engagement. Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Lead and manage the Bid Approval Process (LoA Process) of Siemens Mobility by conducting bid/no-bid assessments and opportunity evaluations, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate techno commercial risks, and finally supporting commercial pricing and competitiveness modelling activities.
- Create compelling, customer-focused proposals aligned with client requirement, by coordinating contributions from subject matter experts, solution architects, sales teams, and delivery leaders.
- Develop executive summaries, value propositions, win themes, and differentiators, providing regular management updates and securing decisions in best interest of Siemens
- Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and proposal quality.
- Analyze bid outcomes and win/loss trend, implement improvements to increase proposal effectiveness and win rates.
- Maintain knowledge repositories and reusable content and support the development of bid management methodologies and tools.
Desired Skills:
- A successful CS RS Bid Manager combines project management discipline, strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to orchestrate diverse teams to produce winning proposals that drive business growth and improve bid win rates.
- You have successfully completed a degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering.
- Ideally, you already have some professional experience in the service environment, project management and/or engineering of rail vehicles, automotive or aviation industry.
- You are familiar with the term’s spare parts management / maintenance / life cycle cost analyses.
- Practical experience with SAP and in-depth knowledge of the use of Excel are an advantage.
- You are characterized by quality, cost and deadline awareness as well as an independent approach.
- You speak and write English fluently and enjoy working in a team. Knowing German language is an added advantage.
