About Podi N Plate LLP

Podi N Plate LLP is a South Indian restaurant focused on serving authentic regional flavors with quality, consistency, and excellent customer experience. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and uphold the standards of traditional South Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and supervise authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, sambar, chutneys, curries, and specialty regional recipes.
Ensure consistency in food taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
Create and improve menu offerings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff effectively.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
Monitor inventory, kitchen supplies, and food costs to minimize wastage.
Coordinate with management for catering orders, special events, and promotions.
Ensure smooth kitchen workflow during busy service hours.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a South Indian restaurant.
Strong expertise in traditional South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
Ability to lead and manage a kitchen team efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

Culinary diploma or hospitality certification preferred.
Experience in menu planning and kitchen cost control.
Knowledge of multi-cuisine cooking is an added advantage.
