Laravel Developer (2+ Years Experience)

Position: Laravel Developer
Experience: 2+ Years
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Palarivattom, Kochi
Joining Preference: Immediate Joiners or candidates who can join within 15 days

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Laravel Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable web applications and RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, Laravel, third-party API integrations, payment gateway integrations, mobile backend API development, API versioning, and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
Develop backend APIs for mobile applications and ensure high performance and reliability.
Integrate and maintain third-party APIs and external services.
Implement and support payment gateway integrations such as Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, PhonePe, or similar platforms.
Design and maintain API versioning to ensure backward compatibility.
Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system efficiency.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues efficiently.
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the development lifecycle.
Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage source code using Git and follow version control best practices.

Required Skills

2+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, and query optimization.
Hands-on experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience with API authentication using Laravel Sanctum, Passport, or JWT.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
Hands-on experience implementing payment gateway integrations.
Good understanding of API versioning and REST API best practices.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and Bootstrap.
Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
Basic knowledge of Linux server environments.
Familiarity with Composer and Laravel Artisan commands.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Knowledge of Redis, Queues, Schedulers, and background job processing.
Familiarity with Docker.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, ChatGPT, or similar AI IDEs.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Quick learner with a passion for adopting new technologies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
