Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and support the organization's financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and experience in preparing financial statements, managing audits, and overseeing day-to-day accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and file statutory returns, tax filings, and regulatory reports on time.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and internal controls.
Support management with financial analysis, cost control, and business decision-making.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Maintain proper accounting records and documentation for audit purposes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased financial efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Experience

Experience in construction, manufacturing, trading, real estate, or service industries.
Experience handling audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Tally, Microsoft Dynamics/ Excel, or similar platforms.
