About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and patient-focused Patient Counsellor / Financial Counsellor to join our reputed Ophthalmology Centre in New Delhi.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a hospital, preferably as a Financial Counsellor, Patient Counsellor, or Insurance/TPA Counsellor, with excellent communication and patient-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel patients and attendants regarding recommended treatments and surgical procedures.
Prepare and explain surgery estimates, packages, and treatment costs to patients.
Clearly explain different surgery packages and payment-related information.
Assist patients with TPA/insurance documentation and formalities.
Coordinate with doctors and patients regarding treatment plans and procedures.
Handle patient queries proactively and provide accurate information.
Follow up with patients regarding treatment decisions and scheduled procedures.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Maintain proper records and update patient-related information in the system.
Build trust with patients and attendants through professional and empathetic communication.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 1 year of relevant hospital experience preferred.
Proven experience as a Patient Counsellor / Financial Counsellor in a reputed hospital.
Experience in surgery counselling, estimates, packages, TPA/insurance, or patient billing will be an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good computer knowledge and basic MS Office skills.
Strong convincing, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle patients and attendants professionally and patiently.
Should be confident, presentable, and proactive.
Immediate joiners will be preferred.
Candidates must be willing to relocate to New Delhi before joining, if required.
