ABOUT THE ROLE

CLOUDSUFI is a Silicon Valley-headquartered AI, Data and Cloud company with operations in India and a growing presence in Mexico and Lithuania. We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to support day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end close for our India entity and to assist the wider finance team on group reporting. This is a delivery-focused role, not a supervisory one. You will own the books at transaction level accurately, on time, every month — and work directly with a Senior Finance Manager who will review your output and help you grow into broader finance work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in Zoho Books and QuickBooks, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny and chart-of-accounts hygiene.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable — vendor bills, employee reimbursements, customer invoicing, collections follow-up and ageing analysis.
Perform monthly bank, credit card and inter-company reconciliations, and resolve open items before close.
Support the month-end and year-end close: accruals, prepayments, depreciation schedules, provisions and closing checklists.
Assist with statutory compliance — GST returns, TDS deduction and deposit, PF/ESI inputs, and preparation of data for advance tax and annual filings.
Prepare working papers and schedules for statutory and internal audits, and respond to auditor queries.
Build and maintain MIS trackers, reconciliations and reporting packs in Google Sheets.
Maintain fixed asset registers, vendor master data and supporting documentation in an audit-ready state.
Identify repetitive manual steps and suggest ways to automate or simplify them.

WHAT YOU MUST BRING

B.Com (Hons) or equivalent commerce degree. CA Inter, CMA / ICWA Inter or similar part-qualification is welcome.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping and accounting experience.
Sound working knowledge of Indian accounting standards and Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Companies Act basics).
Practical, day-to-day experience on Zoho Books and QuickBooks — not just exposure.
Strong Google Sheets skills: lookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, IMPORTRANGE, QUERY and clean model structure.
Comfortable across Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet) as a primary working environment.
Genuinely tech-savvy — quick to pick up new tools, comfortable troubleshooting, and confident working entirely online.
Clear written and spoken English, and the discipline to work independently in a remote setup.
A reliable laptop, stable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.

NICE TO HAVE

Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency accounting.
Familiarity with US GAAP basics or supporting an overseas parent entity.

• Experience with automation or AI tools in a finance context. • Prior experience in a services, IT or consulting business.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM IST. Saturdays are half-day working. The role requires flexibility to extend hours during month-end and year-end close, statutory filing deadlines and audit periods.
