Job Title: Research Developer – MATLAB and Python

Location: Coimbatore
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Mid-Level / Senior

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and research-oriented MATLAB and Python Developer to join our R&D team. The candidate will be responsible for developing computational models, implementing research algorithms, conducting simulations, analyzing experimental results, and supporting AI/ML-based research projects. The ideal candidate should have strong programming expertise, mathematical understanding, and the ability to convert research concepts into functional prototypes and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and validate research algorithms using MATLAB and Python.
Convert mathematical models, research methodologies, and algorithmic concepts into executable software prototypes.
Design simulation frameworks for engineering, scientific, AI, machine learning, and data-driven applications.
Implement machine learning and deep learning models using Python frameworks.
Perform data preprocessing, feature extraction, model training, testing, and performance evaluation.
Develop image processing, signal processing, optimization, and computational modeling solutions.
Analyze experimental results and generate technical reports, graphs, and research documentation.
Optimize algorithms and code for accuracy, computational efficiency, and scalability.
Support research paper implementation, experimental validation, and prototype development.
Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code using version control systems.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
Strong programming skills in MATLAB and Python.
Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, optimization algorithms, or computational modeling.
Experience in MATLAB toolboxes such as Image Processing, Signal Processing, Optimization, or Statistics.
Strong understanding of algorithm design, data structures, and mathematical modeling.
Ability to read research papers and implement proposed methodologies.
Experience handling datasets, experimentation, and performance evaluation.

Preferred Skills

Experience in AI/ML research projects.
Knowledge of computer vision, natural language processing, IoT, simulation, or data analytics.
Familiarity with research publications, technical documentation, and scientific computing.
Experience with Git, Jupyter Notebook, MATLAB Simulink, and cloud-based development environments.

Performance Expectations

Deliver high-quality research prototypes within defined timelines.
Develop reproducible experimental implementations.
Support innovation through algorithm improvement and technology development.
