About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Sales Engineer to join our team and drive sales of our industrial fans and dust collection systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to industrial/mechanical sales, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to understand technical specifications well enough to recommend the right product solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business leads for industrial fans, blowers, and dust collector systems across assigned territory/industries.
- Visit prospective and existing clients (factories, manufacturing units, workshops) to understand their ventilation/dust extraction requirements.
- Prepare and present technical-cum-commercial proposals, quotations, and product specifications to clients.
- Coordinate with the design/engineering team for customized solutions based on client site requirements.
- Follow up on inquiries, negotiate pricing and terms, and close sales orders.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers for repeat business and referrals.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets as set by management.
- Conduct site visits for technical assessment (airflow requirements, dust load, ducting layout, etc.) when required.
- Coordinate with the production/dispatch team to ensure timely delivery and installation.
- Provide after-sales support and handle client queries related to product performance.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations, orders, and client interactions (CRM/reports).
- Stay updated on competitor products, market trends, and pricing in the HVAC/industrial ventilation sector.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred). Candidates from other backgrounds with relevant industrial sales experience may also be considered.
- Experience: 2–3 years in technical/industrial sales, preferably in HVAC, fans, blowers, dust collectors, or allied engineering equipment.
- Location Knowledge: Familiarity with the local industrial belt/market is an advantage.
Key Skills Required
- Basic understanding of fans, blowers, ducting, and dust collection systems (technical aptitude for airflow, static pressure, CFM concepts is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation and convincing ability.
- Self-driven with ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for quotations and reports.
- Willingness to travel for client visits and site surveys.
- Valid driving license (two-wheeler/four-wheeler as applicable).
- Must have own laptop for preparing quotations, presentations, and reports on the go.
