Job Title

Senior Software Tester – Banking Domain (Manual & Automation)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with extensive experience in the banking domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead testing initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality banking applications that meet functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements. The role involves mentoring junior testers, defining test strategies, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for banking applications.
Drive both manual and automation testing activities to validate functional, non-functional, integration, and regulatory requirements.
Identify, document, track, and validate defects in collaboration with development teams, ensuring timely resolution.
Perform risk assessments and provide insights into testing coverage, quality metrics, and release readiness.
Mentor and guide junior testers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the QA team.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, banking regulations, and software testing best practices.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement testing tools, frameworks, and automation solutions to improve testing efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the banking or financial services domain.
Strong understanding of banking processes, payment systems, regulatory compliance, and financial transaction workflows.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and Agile project management.
Mandatory experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.
Experience in API testing using Postman.
Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Knowledge of payment systems, transaction processing, and banking risk management.
Experience in test automation framework development and maintenance.
Exposure to performance testing and CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
