Product: Roboticbell – IoT & AI-enabled smart bell and announcement system for schools and institutions
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Kanjikode
Experience: 1–3 years preferred; freshers with strong communication and sales skills may also apply
Salary: ₹15,000–₹25,000 per month + performance-based incentives

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Engineer who will be responsible for generating leads and converting them into customers for Roboticbell, our smart IoT-based school bell and announcement system.

The role combines B2B sales, telecalling, digital marketing, lead generation and SEO. The candidate should be comfortable communicating with school management, principals, administrators and decision-makers and should have a strong interest in technology products.

Key Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Telecalling

Identify potential schools, colleges and institutions across India.
Build and maintain prospect databases.
Make outbound calls to schools and decision-makers.
Explain Roboticbell's features, benefits and pricing.
Qualify leads and schedule product demonstrations.
Follow up with prospects through phone, WhatsApp and email.
Maintain accurate call and lead records.

2. Sales & Business Development

Convert qualified leads into Roboticbell sales.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Conduct online product demonstrations.
Prepare quotations and coordinate with customers until order closure.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective customers.
Achieve monthly lead-generation and sales targets.
Develop new sales opportunities through schools, educational groups, institutions and channel partners.

3. Digital Marketing

Create and manage campaigns for lead generation.
Promote Roboticbell through social media platforms.
Create basic marketing content such as posts, advertisements, brochures and promotional messages.
Monitor campaign performance and improve lead quality.
Explore new digital channels for reaching school management.

4. SEO & Online Lead Generation

Perform basic keyword research related to school bells, smart school systems, IoT school solutions and PA systems.
Improve website content for search engine visibility.
Identify opportunities to generate organic leads.
Work on on-page SEO, local SEO and content marketing.
Monitor website traffic, search rankings and enquiries.
Coordinate with the technical team when required for website/SEO improvements.

5. CRM & Reporting

Maintain daily records of calls, leads, follow-ups and sales.
Update CRM/lead management systems regularly.
Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports.
Track lead-to-sale conversion rates.
Analyse which marketing and sales channels generate the best results.

Required Skills

Excellent English communication and telephone conversation skills.
Strong convincing and negotiation abilities.
Good understanding of sales and lead generation.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing and social media marketing.
Basic understanding of SEO and Google Search.
Comfortable using computers, Google Workspace, CRM and online tools.
Ability to create basic marketing content.
Good follow-up discipline.
Target-oriented and self-motivated.
Willingness to learn technology products and explain them to customers.

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech/BBA/MBA or equivalent qualification.
Experience in B2B sales, EdTech, IoT, automation, electronics or educational products will be an advantage.
Experience with telecalling or inside sales is preferred.
Knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics/Search Console or SEO tools is an advantage.
