Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing both frontend and backend applications, ensuring the quality, functionality, performance, and reliability of web applications, APIs, CMS platforms, booking systems, loyalty solutions, and other technology products.
You will work closely with developers, business analysts, designers, and project managers to identify defects early, validate business requirements, and deliver high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and execute detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, compatibility, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Test web applications across multiple browsers, devices, operating systems, and screen resolutions.
- Validate UI components, page layouts, forms, navigation, responsive design, content, and user workflows.
- Perform backend and API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Validate API requests, responses, authentication, business rules, error handling, and data accuracy.
- Execute SQL queries to validate application data and database transactions.
- Test integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways, PMS, booking engines, CRM platforms, POS systems, and external APIs.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
- Prepare detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, videos, severity, and expected results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.
- Perform production release validation, patch testing, and deployment verification.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist internal stakeholders during product releases.
- Maintain test documentation, defect reports, release reports, and quality metrics.
- Ensure critical defects are identified and resolved before production deployment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Web Application Testing.
- Strong experience in both frontend and backend testing.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser developer tools, and responsive web applications.
- Experience testing applications built using React, Next.js, or similar frontend technologies.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, and authorization.
- Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.
- Good knowledge of SQL and experience validating data in MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, compatibility, usability, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience using defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ClickUp.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release management.
- Experience testing CMS platforms, booking engines, loyalty platforms, payment gateways, or hospitality technology products.
- Understanding of security testing concepts including authentication, authorization, session management, and input validation.
- Experience in cross-browser and mobile-responsive testing.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB or any relevant Software Testing/Quality Assurance certification is a plus.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
