Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Dy. Manager - Technical Project to lead complex engineering projects in the Cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) industry. This role combines technical expertise with project management leadership to ensure seamless coordination across engineering, procurement, and fabrication teams. The ideal candidate will oversee project lifecycle activities, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and manage cross-functional collaboration to meet strategic business goals.

Lead end-to-end execution of technical projects from design to commissioning, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives.

Coordinate and drive project teams including process, instrumentation, mechanical, and design engineers.

Define project scope, deliverables, and boundary limits in collaboration with stakeholders.

Review and approve engineering documents (P&IDs, specifications, layouts) at all stages (30%, 60%, and 90%).

Facilitate vendor and supplier engagement for equipment selection and technical alignment.

Conduct and lead HAZOP studies in coordination with process teams and customers.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

Oversee technical issue resolution and provide timely support to shop floor and fabrication teams.

Foster continuous improvement through post-project reviews and lessons learned.

Collaborate with group companies on new project initiatives and technical discussions.

ASU Spares support for existing ASU customers.

Costing of Group company product lines and new development projects
Authorities:-
Decision-making authority over technical and engineering matters related to assigned projects.

Final review and approval of key Technical/engineering deliverables.

Empowered to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and clients.

Authorized to define project scope and resolve technical challenges.

Approval authority for PO booking sheets and procurement-related technical documentation.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Directs and mentors project engineers and cross-functional teams. While not having formal supervisory responsibilities, this role requires leadership in guiding, coaching, and supporting the team.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with regular interaction with the shop floor and vendor locations. May require occasional travel. Must be capable of using standard office equipment and working in a dynamic team environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.

10+ years of experience in project engineering or project management in the Cryogenic ASU or similar industrial sector.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional Technical / engineering teams.

In-depth knowledge of P&ID, HAZOP, instrumentation, and modular design.

Strong communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in engineering coordination, ERP systems (e.g., AREV), and stakeholder management.
