Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our Accounts & Finance team in managing day-to-day accounting activities. The candidate will be responsible for billing, GST and TDS compliance, maintaining financial records, and assisting in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in accounting software.
Record purchase, sales, payment, and receipt entries accurately.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation.
Perform bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.

2. Billing & Invoicing

Prepare and issue tax invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
Ensure proper billing as per GST regulations.
Follow up with clients for pending payments and maintain receivable records.
Maintain proper documentation for billing and collections.

3. GST Compliance

Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
Maintain GST purchase and sales registers.
Reconcile GST data with accounting records and portal reports.
Ensure proper GST documentation and compliance with regulations.

4. TDS Compliance

Deduct TDS as per applicable sections of the Income Tax Act.
Maintain TDS records and prepare data for TDS return filing.
Coordinate for TDS payments and maintain proper documentation.
Assist in generating and managing Form 16A for vendors.

5. Financial Reporting & Documentation

Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
Maintain accounting files and records for audits.
Support internal and external auditors during audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

6. Coordination

Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments for financial documentation.
Support the finance team in various accounting and administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Accounting / Finance.
1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation rules.

Technical Skills

Experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Familiarity with GST portal and TDS filing processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
