About the Role
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Web Developer & Designer who can independently manage both the development and design aspects of our websites and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of front-end development, responsive web design, UI/UX principles, website performance, and modern design tools. The role requires someone who can transform business requirements and ideas into visually appealing, user-friendly, responsive, and high-performing websites.
Key ResponsibilitiesWeb Development
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve company websites and landing pages.
- Build responsive and mobile-friendly web pages across different devices and browsers.
- Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end technologies.
- Manage and customize websites built on WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Develop and modify themes, templates, plugins, forms, and website components as required.
- Integrate APIs, CRM tools, analytics platforms, payment gateways, forms, and other third-party services.
- Identify and resolve website bugs, technical issues, broken links, and compatibility problems.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, security, and scalability.
- Manage website hosting, domains, SSL certificates, backups, and deployment in coordination with relevant teams.
Website & UI/UX Design
- Take ownership of the visual design and overall look and feel of websites.
- Design professional website layouts, landing pages, banners, icons, buttons, forms, and other digital elements.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and page designs before development.
- Ensure consistency with company branding, typography, colours, and visual guidelines.
- Improve website navigation, user journeys, readability, and conversion-focused layouts.
- Design using tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or Adobe XD.
- Convert Figma/design concepts into functional and responsive web pages.
- Regularly refresh website graphics and visual elements to maintain a modern and professional appearance.
SEO, Analytics & Performance
- Implement technical and on-page SEO best practices.
- Ensure websites are structured appropriately for search engine crawling and indexing.
- Optimize images, scripts, CSS, and other assets to improve page-loading speed.
- Implement and manage Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and related tracking tools.
- Monitor website traffic, user behaviour, performance, and conversion metrics.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaign-specific landing pages and improve lead conversion rates.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap and responsive web development.
- Good experience with WordPress and CMS management.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX and modern website design principles.
- Proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to convert designs into pixel-accurate web pages.
- Understanding of website hosting, domains, SSL, DNS, and deployment.
- Knowledge of website speed and performance optimization.
- Basic understanding of technical and on-page SEO.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently handle both website development and website designing.
Preferred Skills
Candidates with exposure to the following will be preferred:
- React.js / Next.js
- PHP / MySQL
- Elementor or other WordPress page builders
- Webflow
- Git / GitHub
- REST APIs
- CRM and marketing automation integrations
- Basic graphic and social-media creative designing
- Website security and backup management
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Graphic/Web Design, or a related field.
Candidates with a strong portfolio and relevant practical experience may also be considered irrespective of educational background.
