A Note on Incentives
The incentive amount for this role is paid once the originating project reaches successful installation and commissioning — not at the point of lead conversion, appointment booking, or contract signing alone.
Content & Digital Marketing Executive
Department: Marketing & Growth

Location: Chennai (covering Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur & Chengalpattu)
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, growth-focused Content & Digital Marketing Executive to build Roofglow's local brand presence and directly drive qualified leads. Beyond content, you own our entire digital presence and every channel that generates leads — and you're expected to personally convert a share of the enquiries your own content brings in, not just hand them off.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Video Editing
- Shoot, edit, and publish short-form video reels, customer testimonials, and installation showcases across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Meta, and LinkedIn.
- Ensure every piece meets a consistent quality bar — clean colour correction, clear audio, and tight pacing — and is delivered on time.
- Visit installation sites, coordinating with the Installation & Execution Supervisor, to capture footage.
Lead Generation & Campaign Management
- Set up and optimize localized Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google ad campaigns to generate warm solar leads.
- Own Roofglow's full digital presence and every channel that generates leads — website, social, and listings.
- Own Roofglow's SEO end to end — on-page optimization, local search/Google Business Profile, and keyword strategy — so the website and PM Surya Ghar listing rank well for local searches.
- Keep an eye on what fellow solar brands in the area are doing and adapt content/campaigns accordingly.
Digital Sales & Enablement
- Handle initial social media/WhatsApp DM conversations, engage prospective buyers directly, and convert straightforward enquiries yourself where possible; hand off more complex leads into the Telecaller/Solar Consultant pipeline.
- Coordinate daily with the Inside Sales Executive so leads generated by content are followed up promptly.
BTL & Local Activations
- Plan and coordinate localized awareness drives, canopy setups, pamphlets, handbills, and customer events across the coverage area.
- Build and maintain a small network of local vendors (printers, event/canopy suppliers) to support promotional activities.
Performance Tracking
- Track content and campaign performance (reach, engagement, cost-per-lead, conversion) and report on what's working.
- Where available, keep an eye on broader digital metrics too (e.g. website traffic), not just lead-linked ones.
Key Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Visual Communication, New Media, or a related field is preferred; however, a strong portfolio can substitute for the degree requirement.
Experience: Freshers with strong practical skills are welcome; 1–3 years of experience in video editing, social media management, or digital marketing execution is a strong advantage.
Language: Fluency in both written and spoken Tamil and English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional regional languages is a distinct advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Technical
- Video/graphics: Adobe Premiere Pro / CapCut / Canva / Photoshop
- Ad tools: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, Google Analytics
- Communication/CRM: Meta Business Suite, WhatsApp Business, Google Workspace
- Strong working knowledge of SEO — on-page optimization, local SEO, and keyword research — this is a required skill, not a nice-to-have
- Familiarity with basic motion graphics is a plus, though not required
Behavioral
- Creative, detail-oriented storyteller with strong visual instincts
- Comfortable engaging prospective customers directly, not just producing content for others to convert
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven, comfortable managing multiple pieces at once
Other Requirements
- Local travel to installation sites for content capture; occasional weekend/evening work around content and activation deadlines
What We Offer
- Trainee pay ₹15,000/month (Months 2) → ₹20,000/month on conversion to full-time
- ₹500 per originating project (see "A Note on Incentives" above)
