FLOOR SUPERVISOR - i'Deli Cafe

Support the Team. Maintain Standards. Deliver Great Service.

We are opening a new i'Deli Cafe outlet in Kakkanad, Kochi, and are looking for a responsible and energetic Floor Supervisor to support daily floor operations, coordinate the service team, and ensure an excellent guest experience.

Floor Operations

Supervise day-to-day front-of-house activities during assigned shifts.
Ensure smooth coordination between service, kitchen, cashier, and support teams.
Monitor guest flow, table readiness, order movement, and service efficiency.
Ensure opening, shift handover, and closing procedures are properly followed.
Remain actively present on the floor during service.

Team Supervision

Allocate daily duties to service team members.
Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational requirements.
Support team members during busy periods.
Assist the Floor Manager and Restaurant Manager in maintaining team standards.

Guest Experience

Welcome and assist guests when required.
Ensure guests receive friendly, attentive, and efficient service.
Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
Handle routine guest complaints professionally and escalate serious issues to management.
Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere on the floor.

Service Standards

Monitor service speed, accuracy, presentation, and cleanliness.
Ensure staff follow i'Deli Cafe service SOPs.
Check tables, service stations, menus, and guest areas regularly.
Identify service delays and take corrective action.
Support upselling and ensure staff have proper product knowledge.

Hygiene & Grooming

Maintain high standards of cleanliness across guest and service areas.
Monitor staff grooming and personal hygiene.
Ensure food-safety and hygiene procedures are followed.
Report maintenance, cleanliness, or operational issues promptly.

Training & Development

Assist in training new service team members.
Coach staff on guest interaction, service standards, grooming, and product knowledge.
Provide feedback to team members and report performance concerns to management.

Reporting & Communication

Report daily floor operations, guest feedback, staffing concerns, and service issues to the Floor Manager or Restaurant Manager.
Maintain clear communication between management and the service team.
Assist with daily operational reports when required.

New Outlet Opening

Support the opening of the new Kakkanad outlet.
Assist with team training, service preparation, and pre-opening activities.
Help establish floor routines and service standards from day one.
Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth opening operations.

Experience

2–4 years of experience in restaurant, cafe, hospitality, or related operations preferred.
Previous experience as a Floor Supervisor, Captain, Team Leader, Senior Waiter, or similar role is an advantage.
Experience in a new outlet opening will be an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's degree or Hospitality Management qualification preferred.
Diploma in Hotel Management or relevant hospitality experience will also be considered.
