Department: Product Development & Electronics Engineering
Reporting To: Senior Electrical Engineer / Product Development Lead
Location: Saha, India (In-Person Only)
Job Purpose:
Eisco is seeking an ambitious, highly capable Junior Electrical Engineer to join our Electronics Engineering team in Saha. In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers to design production-ready hardware, write reliable embedded firmware, and build scalable manufacturing workflows. We are looking for a B.Tech or M.Tech engineer who thinks on their feet, adapts rapidly to complex engineering challenges, and takes active ownership of assigned modules. If you are a fast learner eager to build a high-impact engineering career across products distributed globally, this position offers direct responsibility and continuous skill growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Discovery & Spec Ownership
- Firmware Engineering & Embedded Systems: Write, test, and debug embedded C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex-M, AVR). Implement low-level drivers, system state machines, and communication protocols (I²C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE) while supporting basic RTOS task scheduling.
- Product Development: Assist senior engineers in taking scientific, educational, and IoT-enabled instruments from conceptual schematics to volume production.
- PCB Design & Prototyping: Design schematic captures, multi-layer printed circuit board layouts, component placement, and Gerber generation using standard EDA software.
- Hardware Bench Debugging: Analyze hardware bugs and firmware glitches using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and precision soldering equipment.
- Manufacturing & Production Setup: Assist with setting up inline assembly checking tools, automated test fixtures, and SMT machine debugging to ensure high production yield.
- Sourcing & BOM Management: Build accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), analyze datasheets, evaluate drop-in component alternatives for supply resilience, and optimize hardware costs
Skills required:
Educational Background:
- Education: B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Embedded Software & Firmware: Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers, understanding of low-level hardware interfaces, and basic firmware debugging techniques.
- PCB Design & Hardware: Hands-on experience with EDA software (Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or equivalent) for schematic entry and circuit board layout.
- Test & Measurement: Practical proficiency operating laboratory gear—oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and soldering stations.
- Technical Agility: Strong capacity to read datasheets, evaluate alternate components, think critically under pressure, and resolve engineering bottlenecks systematically.
- Bonus / Agentic Coding (Nice to Have): Familiarity with modern AI development workflows and Agentic Coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Google Antigravity, MCP integrations) and Git version control to accelerate firmware prototyping and documentation.
Experience Level
- Eisco evaluates candidates based on technical agility, problem-solving ability, and execution quality rather than years of tenure. Fresh graduates with strong hands-on firmware/hardware project portfolios, functional PCB prototypes, or embedded code repositories will be evaluated on par with candidates holding corporate experience. Career progression is strictly meritocratic and driven by demonstrated capability.
What We Offer
- Direct mentorship from senior engineering leads in a high-performance environment.
- Direct ownership of physical electronics and scientific instrumentation deployed to 100+ countries.
- A clear, merit-based career trajectory into Mid-Level and Lead Engineering roles based on output and technical mastery.
