Job Description – Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Company: Saurashtra Multiventures Private Limited
Location: Bhavnagar, Gujarat
Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000 per month (Based on qualifications and experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Junior Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts team in managing day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, hands-on experience with Tally Prime, excellent data entry skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Record day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally Prime/ERP with accuracy and timeliness.
Perform accurate accounting data entry and maintain proper financial records.
Verify invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents before recording transactions.
Prepare journal, payment, receipt, and contra vouchers.
Assist in processing vendor payments and maintaining accounts payable records.
Record customer receipts and maintain accounts receivable records.
Prepare and reconcile vendor and customer account statements.
Maintain daily bank transaction records and prepare bank reconciliation statements.
Assist in GST and TDS data preparation, reconciliation, and statutory documentation.
Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, agreements, and other accounting documents in both physical and digital formats.
Support monthly book closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting MIS reports as required by the Finance team.
Assist during statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits by providing required documents and reconciliations.
Coordinate with internal departments for invoice verification, documentation, and payment-related queries.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, financial controls, and statutory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Support the Senior Accountant and Finance & Accounts Head in day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
Continuously improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in accounting processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory.
M.Com will be an added advantage.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounting or Finance.
Experience in Tally Prime or similar accounting software is mandatory.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Tally Prime
Excellent accounting data entry skills
Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
Basic knowledge of GST and TDS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
Good numerical and analytical ability
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Time management and organizational skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
