Job Description – Machine Maintenance Operator

Position: Machine Maintenance Operator / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Madhyamgram, Kolkata
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Experience: 3–6 Years
Industry: Food Processing / Manufacturing preferred
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Machine Maintenance Operator to handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery. The candidate should have hands-on experience in plant machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, minimizing machine downtime, and managing engineering spare parts.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, routine and breakdown maintenance of production machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and attend emergency machine breakdowns.
Ensure maximum machine efficiency and minimize production downtime.
Maintain and monitor boilers, conveyors, packaging machines, motors, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and machine maintenance records.
Manage engineering spare parts and inventory.
Coordinate with the production team during machine breakdowns and repairs.
Follow proper industrial safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Identify recurring machine problems and take corrective action.

Candidate Requirements

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
3–6 years of hands-on plant machinery maintenance experience.
Food processing/FMCG manufacturing experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Experience with boilers, conveyors and packaging machines.
Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting and safety protocols.
Experience in spare-parts management will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
