Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Chef to join our kitchen team at Hotel Chenthur Park. The candidate should have good knowledge of Continental cuisine, food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes according to hotel standards.
Handle breakfast, lunch, dinner, and à la carte preparations.
Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
Follow standard recipes and maintain food quality.
Ensure proper food storage and minimize wastage.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Follow food safety and kitchen safety standards.
Coordinate with the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and kitchen team.
Monitor ingredients and inform the senior chef about stock requirements.
Support the team during busy service periods.
Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.

Skills Required

Good knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
Good plating and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy hotel environment.
Teamwork and communication skills.
Good discipline and time management.

Eligibility

2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Hotel/restaurant experience is an advantage.
Candidates with good practical knowledge of Continental cuisine are encouraged to apply.
Immediate joiners preferred.
