Full job description

Job Description – Site Accountant

Position: Site Accountant
Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Experience: 2–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

Prabha Continuous Utility Services is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Accountant to manage accounting and billing activities at our Gandhinagar project site. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime, with strong knowledge of accounting, billing, and site operations. The role requires close coordination with clients, project managers, vendors, and the Head Office to ensure accurate financial records and timely billing.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Accounting

Manage day-to-day accounting activities at the project site.
Record all financial transactions in Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime.
Maintain petty cash and monitor daily site expenses.
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.

Client Billing & Coordination

Prepare and submit client invoices as per work orders and contractual terms.
Coordinate with clients regarding billing, payment follow-ups, invoice clarifications, and documentation.
Ensure timely submission of supporting documents required for billing.

Manpower Billing & Attendance

Verify manpower deployment records and attendance.
Reconcile attendance sheets, timesheets, overtime records, and wage data before billing.
Prepare manpower billing based on approved attendance and contractual rates.
Coordinate with HR and the Head Office for payroll-related information.

Vendor Billing

Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, delivery records, and work completion reports.
Process vendor bills and maintain proper documentation.
Coordinate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment status.

Coordination with Project Managers & Head Office

Work closely with Project Managers to verify project progress, resource utilization, and billing milestones.
Coordinate with the Head Office for accounting approvals, documentation, reporting, and statutory compliance.
Ensure timely submission of financial reports and supporting documents.

Compliance & Reporting

Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
Maintain proper accounting records and audit-ready documentation.
Support internal and statutory audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience in Tally ERP 9 and Tally Prime (Mandatory).
Good knowledge of GST, TDS, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
Strong knowledge of manpower billing, vendor billing, and attendance reconciliation.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, and data analysis preferred).
Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a project/site environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Commerce or Accounting.
2–5 years of experience in site accounting, project accounting, or industrial/service-based accounting.
Experience in engineering, operations & maintenance, facility management, EPC, or manpower service industries will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Experience in handling project/site accounts independently.
Immediate joiners will be preferred.
Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Gandhinagar will be preferred.
