Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Proposal Writer with 3–4 years of experience in proposal development, bid management, and government/commercial RFP responses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching opportunities, analyzing solicitation requirements, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and developing compelling, compliant, and winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, ITBs, and other solicitation documents.
Develop high-quality proposal responses tailored to client requirements and evaluation criteria.
Create proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and submission checklists.
Coordinate with subject matter experts, recruiters, technical teams, and management to gather required information.
Write, edit, proofread, and format proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance.
Manage proposal timelines and ensure all deliverables are completed before submission deadlines.
Maintain and update proposal repositories, templates, resumes, past performance records, and boilerplate content.
Conduct market and competitor research to strengthen proposal strategies.
Ensure proposals comply with all solicitation requirements, instructions, and submission guidelines.
Support post-submission activities, clarifications, and presentations when required.
Track and maintain records of submitted proposals and bid outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
3–4 years of experience in proposal writing, bid management, or business development support.
Experience responding to government, public sector, or commercial solicitations.
Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ/RFI processes and proposal lifecycle management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with proposal management tools and document management systems is preferred.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of U.S. Government, State, Local, and Education (SLED) procurement processes.
Experience in staffing, IT services, consulting, or professional services industries.
Strong editing, proofreading, and document formatting skills.
Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Excellent stakeholder coordination and project management abilities.
