Job Description

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, the Art Director must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a conceptual thinker, creative, articulate and can understand and convey a variety of concepts. Outstanding execution and organization skills combined with excellent judgment and exemplary ethics and values are imperative.

Creative Leadership:

Lead and inspire a team of designers, video editors, animators, and other creative personnel to deliver high-quality visual content.
Oversee the visual aspects of advertising and media campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
Collaborate with investor relations & communications, marketing, and investment teams to conceptualize and implement design solutions.

Design Development:

Develop and refine creative briefs, translating marketing objectives into clear, compelling creative strategies.
Create and supervise the production of visual material for various platforms, including print, digital, social media, and video.
Ensure all visual designs maintain a high standard of creativity, quality, and innovation.

Project Management:

Manage multiple projects from conception through completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and freelancers as needed.
Provide backup assistance for the Creative Project Coordinator with the work requests queue and additional workflow coordination.
Provide guidance and feedback to creative teams, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Brand Stewardship:

Uphold and evolve the brand’s visual identity, ensuring a consistent application across all media.
Stay abreast of trends in design, technology, and marketing to keep our brand current and relevant.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Master’s degree or additional certifications in design or a related field would be a plus.
A minimum of 6-8 years of professional design experience in a similar role, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
Proven track record of leading a team in the development and execution of high-impact creative campaigns.

Experience Required:

Highly experienced in:

Microsoft Office
Extensive experience with a variety of design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong portfolio showcasing a broad range of projects, including digital, print, and multimedia.

General Requirements:

Ensure an engaging client experience and achievement of program objectives by consistently meeting deadlines on assigned events and projects and keeping event managers, vendors and stakeholders apprised
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
Good judgment in terms of escalating issues vs. solving problems independently
A solutions-oriented self-starter with ability to see the big picture
Ability to be flexible in terms of hours in order to coordinate with team members across various time zones
An analytical mind and a passion for bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processes
Outgoing, collaborative, and inclusive style, well-developed ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Highly resourceful; able to collaborate; strength in time management with high stakes deadlines
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner
