Full job description

Job Title: Material Manager

Requirements:

We are looking for candidate 8–12 years of experience in Materials Management in a Electrical / Electronic components, Parts, Switchgears, manufacturing industry. (Experience in Resistors Industry is highly desired.)Mandatory: Proven experience in managing suppliers across China, Taiwan, and other Asian countries.

Role:

To manage procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, machinery, and services required for manufacturing operations while ensuring cost efficiency, timely availability, vendor reliability, and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Planning:

Plan procurement based on production plans, BOM, and material requirement planning (MRP).Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and spare parts required for production.Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Stores departments for material requirements.

2. Sourcing:

Identify, evaluate, and develop new Sources for exhiting as well as new purchase.

2. 1. Vendor Development & Management:

Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for raw materials and components.Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations.Maintain a reliable supplier base to ensure continuity of supply.

3. Price Negotiation & Cost Control:

Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best price, payment terms, and delivery schedules.Monitor market trends and raw material price fluctuations.Implement cost reduction initiatives and value engineering.

4. Purchase Order Management:

Experience in procurement of Capital Goods such as Plant Machinery, Production Equipment, Utilities, Office Infrastructure, Test & Measurement Equipment, and Industrial Automation Systems.Review purchase requisitions and generate Purchase Orders (PO).Ensure all purchase orders are issued as per company policy.Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.

5. Coordination with Internal Departments:

Work closely with Stores for stock monitoring and inventory control.Coordinate with Quality department for incoming material inspection.Coordinate with Finance / Accounts for payment processing and vendor reconciliation.Coordinate with Design department for Indentifying vendors for new materials / process .

6. Inventory & Stock Monitoring:

Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortage or excess stock.Control slow-moving and obsolete inventory.Implement FIFO / inventory optimization practices.

7. Logistics & Delivery Tracking:

Monitor dispatch and transportation of materials from suppliers.Resolve delivery delays, shortages, or quality issues with vendors.

8. Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, contracts, and supplier documents.Ensure compliance with company policies, internal audits, and ISO standards.

9. Team Management:

Supervise purchase executives and assistants.Assign procurement tasks and monitor team performance.

10. Reporting:

Prepare monthly purchase reports, cost-saving reports, vendor performance analysis, and procurement MIS reports for management.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
