Job Description – Assistant Teacher (NTT)

Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct age-appropriate, play-based learning activities aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
Foster the holistic development of children by supporting their cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development.
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
Manage classroom routines, behaviour, and transitions while ensuring the safety and well-being of every child.
Observe, assess, and document each child's progress, and share timely feedback with the Academic Coordinator and parents, as required.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching-learning materials, classroom displays, and other learning resources.
Build positive relationships with children and maintain professional communication with parents.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and the academic team to ensure effective curriculum implementation and high teaching standards.
Organize and participate in school events, celebrations, parent interactions, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
Maintain attendance records, student portfolios, and other classroom documentation as per school policies.
Uphold the school's values, child safeguarding policies, health and safety standards, and professional code of conduct.
Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, and continuous professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE), or an equivalent qualification.
Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred.
Prior experience in a preschool or play school is preferred; however, enthusiastic freshers with the required qualifications may also apply.

Skills & Language

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for working with young children and a nurturing attitude.
Good classroom management, creativity, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is preferred. Knowledge of Hindi and/or other regional languages will be an added advantage.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
