About A One Advisory

A One Advisory is a leading finance consulting firm specialising in credit rating advisory and financial consultancy. Established by first-generation entrepreneurs with over 30 years of collective experience in the finance industry, the firm has successfully executed 2,000+ assignments.

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced and results-driven Zonal Heads – Business Development to drive business growth across the assigned zone. The role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with corporates and key stakeholders, achieving business targets and leading the Business Development team.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in credit rating agencies, rating advisory or a closely related financial services environment, along with a proven track record in business development and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and revenue across the assigned zone.
Identify and develop new corporate relationships and business opportunities within the credit rating and rating advisory ecosystem.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, promoters, CFOs, finance teams, rating agencies and other relevant stakeholders.
Manage the business pipeline and drive opportunities from lead generation through conversion and mandate closure.
Lead, mentor and manage the relationship managers in the assigned zone and monitor performance against targets.
Lead key client meetings and negotiations and work closely with management to close strategic opportunities.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth conversion and execution of mandates.
Track business performance, pipeline and team activities and provide regular updates to management.
Travel extensively within the assigned zone for client meetings and business development activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
10–12 years of relevant experience in business development, sales or relationship management within a Credit Rating Agency or Rating Advisory firm.
Strong understanding of the credit rating ecosystem and rating advisory business.
Proven experience in team leadership and achieving business/revenue targets.
Established network and relationships with corporates and relevant financial stakeholders would be an advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
Strategic, target-oriented and commercially driven approach.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone.
Possession of a personal vehicle would be an advantage.
