Full job description

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused L1 Support Engineer to join our IT Support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring timely resolution of user requests. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates looking to start a career in IT Support. L1 support engineers typically serve as the first point of contact, resolve common technical issues, and escalate complex incidents when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
Create, update, and close support tickets while maintaining accurate documentation.
Escalate unresolved technical issues to L2/L3 support teams.
Assist users with password resets, email configuration, VPN connectivity, and software installations.
Monitor incidents and ensure timely resolution within SLA.
Maintain IT asset inventory and system documentation.
Support remote users using remote desktop tools.
Deliver excellent customer service while following IT policies and procedures.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, or similar) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work in rotational shifts if required.
Customer-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in B.Tech/B.E., BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), MCA, or equivalent.
Freshers are welcome to apply.
IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, CCNA, or ITIL Foundation are an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Remote Desktop tools.
Familiarity with ITIL processes.
