Amgen India is located in HITEC City, a suburb of Hyderabad, occupying six floors of the RMZ Spire Tower 110. The city of Hyderabad, located in the state of Telangana, well known for its world-class talent across medicine, life sciences and data sciences and the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence (AI). The site can accommodate up to 3,000 people and is operational since Q4 2024. Amgen India will initially build and accelerate new technology solutions and digital capabilities at scale that will enhance efficiency across the enterprise The site will offer roles that strengthen key areas of Amgen’s business, including AI, data science, life science and other additional global capabilities over time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.
You will be part of a team specifically focussing on Global CRM capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best in class technologies, having Salesforce.com as core architecture & relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement applications and modules

Take ownership of Development/configuration of user stories

Possesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code
-
Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using Veeva CRM/Salesforce
-
Create and maintain documentation on software design and configuration
-
Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively
-
Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software design and configuration

Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software

Identify and resolve software bugs issues
-
Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality

Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently

Use Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment as part of the Devops practices and maintain CI/CD Pipelines

Maintain high standards of code quality, implementing code reviews, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
-
Master’s OR Bachelor's degree with 5- 9 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related
-
Proficient in programming languages Visual Force, Apex, SQL, Java

Strong expertise in software design principles, and system integration Experience with Devops Tool set (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Copado)

Proven experience (05 years) as Software Engineer, leading the design and development of software solutions.
Must-Have Skills

Proficiency of Veeva CRM development

Proficiency in Salesforce development

Proficiency of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
-
Proficiency with version control systems like Git & Release management tools like Copado
Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with test automation

Work closely with product team, business team, and other stakeholders

Certifications related to Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Copado, Safe are advantageous
Soft Skills:
