Full job description

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing your continental kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and take full ownership of your continental kitchen
Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with the restaurant's recipes, standards, and portion guidelines
Supervise and mentor Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants within your section
Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes leaving your station
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with GCC food regulations
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimize wastage within your section
Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials, and new dish creation in collaboration with senior team
Ensure all mise en place is completed accurately and on time for each service
Step up and assist other sections during peak periods as required
Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, and stock shortages

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1–2 years at Chef de Partie level
Culinary diploma or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Strong knowledge of international cuisines and modern cooking techniques
Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or fine dining establishment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and kitchen hygiene standards
Team player with strong leadership and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Prior GCC experience is an advantage
