Full job description

Role Purpose

We are seeking a capable and delivery-focused Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience to support the planning, coordination and governance of complex technology and business initiatives. This role is positioned beyond a purely administrative coordination function: the successful candidate will take ownership of defined workstreams, maintain robust project controls, and act as a trusted extension of the Project and Programme Management team.

The role is best suited to a candidate with prior exposure to FinTech, banking, payments, digital financial services or other regulated technology environments, where governance discipline, controls, approvals and dependency management are critical to successful delivery. The candidate will be expected to independently manage day-to-day coordination across multiple workstreams, drive accountability among stakeholders, and produce concise, decision-ready reporting for project leadership and senior management.

This is an emerging project management position. While the role does not carry full end-to-end ownership of a programme, the candidate is expected to operate with a strong sense of ownership, sound judgement, and the maturity to manage governance proactively rather than simply record it.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

Coordinate activities and deliverables across multiple business and technology workstreams, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan.
Maintain project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and key dates, keeping schedules current and reflective of actual progress.
Track progress against the approved delivery baseline and flag variances promptly to the Project or Programme Manager.
Proactively identify delays, slippages, dependencies and delivery impacts, and escalate issues before they affect critical milestones.
Follow up consistently with workstream owners to ensure commitments, actions and deliverables are driven through to closure.
Support project mobilisation, planning, execution, testing, deployment, go-live, hypercare and closure activities across the full delivery lifecycle.

Governance & Controls

Own and actively maintain core governance artefacts, including RAID logs, action trackers, decision logs, dependency trackers, change registers, deliverable trackers and milestone plans.
Manage the governance calendar, ensuring steering committees, working groups and project forums are scheduled, prepared for and followed up on in a timely manner.
Prepare concise governance materials, weekly status reports, management updates, meeting agendas and Minutes of Meeting, clearly capturing decisions, actions, owners and target dates.
Actively manage governance rather than passively record it - chasing outstanding actions, validating status updates with workstream owners, and ensuring risks and issues are addressed rather than simply logged.
Support the preparation of status reporting and management dashboards for project leadership, sponsors and steering committees.

SDLC / Technology Delivery

Apply practical understanding of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements, business and functional analysis, solution/design activities, development, SIT, UAT, defect management, release management, deployment, production readiness, go-live and hyper care.
Understand how dependencies move across SDLC stages and coordinate readiness between business, development, testing, infrastructure, security, operations and external parties.
Track defect and testing progress, monitor UAT sign-off status, and support release and deployment coordination in partnership with technical teams.
Support production readiness and go-live activities, including coordination of cutover plans, checklists and hyper care arrangements.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Coordinate effectively with business stakeholders, product teams, project managers, engineering and development, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and risk and compliance functions.
Liaise with vendors, third parties and, where applicable, financial institutions to track deliverables, resolve dependencies and maintain delivery momentum.
Facilitate meetings and working sessions, ensuring clear outcomes, documented actions and defined ownership.
Escalate risks and blockers in a timely and structured manner, maintaining strong working relationships across all stakeholder groups.

Reporting & Communication

Produce clear, concise and accurate status reports, dashboards and management-level updates suitable for senior stakeholders.
Translate detailed workstream activity into executive-ready summaries that highlight progress, risks, dependencies and decisions required.
Maintain a consistent, professional standard of written and verbal communication across all governance materials and stakeholder interactions.

Experience & Qualifications

4 to 6 years of total relevant professional experience is required, ideally gained in one or more of the following roles:

Project Coordinator
Junior Project Manager
PMO Analyst
PMO Consultant
Technology Delivery Analyst / Consultant
Associate Project Manager

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management or a related discipline.

A project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, Scrum or Agile is considered a strong advantage, though not mandatory.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of project delivery methodology and governance frameworks.
Practical experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and competing priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
Ability to produce concise, well-structured executive and management-level reporting.
Strong attention to detail, balanced with the ability to maintain sight of overall programme objectives.
Ability to identify, articulate and escalate project risks, dependencies and delivery impacts in a clear and structured manner.
A proactive, ownership-driven approach to coordination, governance and problem-solving.

Preferred / Desirable Experience

Experience within FinTech, banking, payments, financial services or regulated technology environments is strongly preferred, given the governance, controls and delivery discipline required in such settings. Relevant exposure may include one or more of the following:

Digital banking and digital wallets
Payments and transaction platforms
Financial APIs and financial institution integrations
Regulatory technology (RegTech) programmes
Clearing and settlement
Real-time payments
Open banking
Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) or digital currency programmes

Specialist CBDC experience is not a requirement; general exposure to regulated financial technology programmes is sufficient and highly valued.

Tools & Technology Exposure

Proficiency or practical working exposure to the following tools is expected:

Azure DevOps or equivalent work-tracking platforms

The candidate is not required to be a software engineer but should possess sufficient technical understanding to confidently coordinate discussions involving APIs and integrations, application development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, and testing and environments.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
