Job Summary
The Mother Teacher is responsible for the overall academic, emotional, social, and behavioural development of the students in the assigned class. The teacher serves as the primary mentor for the class by creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment while teaching core subjects in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Academic Responsibilities
- Teach all assigned subjects as per the school curriculum and academic calendar.
- Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans.
- Deliver interactive, activity-based, and student-centric lessons.
- Develop foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies wherever appropriate.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, projects, and teaching-learning materials.
2. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the classroom.
- Promote values such as respect, responsibility, honesty, empathy, and teamwork.
- Supervise students during assemblies, recess, field visits, and school activities.
3. Student Development
- Monitor each student's academic, emotional, behavioural, and social growth.
- Identify students requiring additional academic or emotional support.
- Encourage confidence, creativity, curiosity, and independent learning.
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding student information.
4. Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, projects, and oral evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, report cards, and progress reports.
- Provide timely feedback to students for continuous improvement.
- Prepare examination papers and complete evaluation within prescribed timelines.
5. Parent Communication
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and discuss student progress.
- Respond professionally to parent concerns and provide constructive guidance.
- Maintain regular communication regarding attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
6. School Responsibilities
- Participate actively in school functions, celebrations, assemblies, competitions, and educational events.
- Assist in admission activities, orientation programmes, and promotional events whenever required.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, training programmes, and professional development sessions.
- Perform examination duties and other academic responsibilities assigned by the school management.
7. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, class records, student portfolios, and academic documentation.
- Submit reports and academic records within stipulated deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, CBSE guidelines, and child safety norms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- B.Ed. (Mandatory).
- D.El.Ed./Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- CTET qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/State Board school.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching may also apply.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
