Full job description

Department: Security

Reports To: Security Guard

Job Summary

A Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, employees, visitors, and property. They maintain a secure environment by monitoring hotel premises, preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies, and following hotel security procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol hotel premises regularly to ensure safety and security.
Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.
Control entry and exit of guests, visitors, employees, and vendors.
Check employee and visitor IDs when required.
Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, accidents, medical emergencies, or disturbances.
Prepare daily security reports and incident reports.
Assist guests with safety-related concerns and provide directions when needed.
Coordinate with local police, fire department, or ambulance services during emergencies.
Ensure all emergency exits and fire equipment are accessible and functional.
Conduct baggage and vehicle checks as per hotel policy.
Maintain lost and found records according to hotel procedures.
Follow all hotel SOPs, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification: 10th/12th pass (higher qualification preferred).
Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, industrial, or corporate security is preferred.
Basic knowledge of fire safety, first aid, and emergency response.
Physically fit and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Skills Required

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Alertness and observation skills.
Ability to handle emergencies calmly.
Honesty, discipline, and integrity.
Basic report writing and record-keeping skills.
Customer service attitude.

Experience

0–2 years: Freshers may apply (training will be provided).
1–3 years of hotel security experience is preferred.
