Qualification
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is preferred.
- Valid registration with the respective State Physiotherapy Council or other applicable regulatory authority, where required.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physiotherapist in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or healthcare facility.
- Freshers with relevant clinical internship experience may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Provide physiotherapy interventions for orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, geriatric, and post-operative patients, as applicable.
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and other evidence-based physiotherapy techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, posture correction, mobility, and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate assessment findings, treatment records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe handling of physiotherapy equipment.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices and comply with hospital safety policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional education.
- Promote patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all aspects of care.
Required Skills
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and rehabilitation principles.
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques, manual therapy, and electrotherapy modalities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Good documentation and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts as per hospital requirements.
- Availability to provide emergency or weekend rehabilitation services when required.
