Junior MEP Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior MEP Engineer to support the design, coordination, installation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist senior engineers in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and review of MEP drawings and technical documents.
- Support the planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, material requests, and technical reports.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals.
- Monitor project progress and report any technical issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local building codes.
- Maintain project documentation, inspection records, and daily progress reports.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving site-related MEP issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in MEP engineering or construction projects.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work on construction sites and travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design principles.
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Internship or training experience in MEP projects is an added advantage.
