BrandPort.in helps FMCG, D2C and consumer brands scale their presence across offline retail, distribution, merchandising, store activations and quick commerce. We work with growing brands to build structured, scalable and execution-led market expansion strategies.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Manager / Head – Offline Sales who can take ownership of building and scaling BrandPort’s offline sales business.

The person will be responsible for developing General Trade, Modern Trade and distributor networks, driving revenue for BrandPort’s clients, building sales teams and ensuring strong market execution across territories.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the Indian FMCG/consumer retail ecosystem and has strong relationships with distributors, retailers and retail chains.

Key Responsibilities1. Offline Sales & Revenue Growth

Own the overall offline sales strategy and revenue targets.
Develop and execute market-wise sales plans for BrandPort’s client brands.
Drive sales across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), regional retail and speciality retail.
Build predictable and scalable sales pipelines.
Identify new markets, territories and revenue opportunities.
Own monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

2. Distributor Network Development

Identify, evaluate and onboard distributors across priority markets.
Build strong relationships with distributors, super-stockists and channel partners.
Negotiate commercial terms, margins, credit and business commitments.
Drive distributor productivity and secondary sales.
Monitor stock movement, inventory and market coverage.
Develop structured territory and distribution expansion plans.

3. Retail Expansion

Build and expand retailer networks across targeted markets.
Identify relevant retail chains and independent retailers for client brands.
Drive product listing, assortment expansion and store activation.
Improve numeric distribution and outlet productivity.
Work closely with merchandising teams to ensure shelf visibility and execution.

4. Modern Trade

Develop relationships with national and regional Modern Trade accounts.
Drive listing, onboarding and commercial negotiations.
Manage account-level targets, promotions and visibility.
Coordinate with internal teams for execution and replenishment.
Develop strategies to improve sell-through and account productivity.

5. Team Building & Leadership

Build and manage the offline sales team across territories.
Define sales targets, KPIs and territory responsibilities.
Train and mentor sales managers and executives.
Monitor daily/weekly/monthly performance.
Ensure disciplined reporting, follow-ups and market coverage.
Build a performance-oriented sales culture.

6. Client Management

Since BrandPort operates as a growth partner for consumer brands, the candidate will also:

Understand individual client objectives and sales targets.
Create market-entry and expansion plans.
Present sales plans and performance updates to clients.
Ensure timely execution of agreed deliverables.
Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Build long-term relationships with client brands.

7. Market Intelligence

Track competitor activity, pricing, schemes and promotions.
Monitor market trends and retailer/distributor feedback.
Identify high-potential cities, territories and outlets.
Provide actionable market insights to BrandPort and its clients.
Use sales data and market intelligence for decision-making.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

7–12+ years of experience in offline sales / FMCG / retail / distribution.
Strong understanding of the Indian retail ecosystem.
Existing relationships with distributors, retailers and Modern Trade accounts.
Proven experience in building and scaling distribution networks.
Experience managing sales teams and multiple territories.
Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel extensively across markets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
