Full job description

The Group CFO will be responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership across the Globemark Group and its portfolio of businesses. The role will go beyond traditional finance and controllership to drive profitable growth, capital allocation, cash-flow optimisation, risk management, governance and business performance.

The Group CFO will partner closely with the Promoters, Board and business heads to build a scalable financial architecture capable of supporting the Group's expansion across businesses, investments and new ventures.

Key Responsibilities1. Group Financial Strategy

Develop and execute the Group's overall financial strategy in alignment with business and growth objectives.
Lead annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts and long-range financial planning.
Establish financial KPIs and performance dashboards across all Group companies.
Provide the Board and management with actionable insights on profitability, cash flow, capital requirements and business performance.
Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, acquisitions and strategic partnerships from a financial perspective.

2. Financial Control & Reporting

Establish robust Group-wide financial reporting, MIS and management information systems.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Drive consolidation of financial statements across subsidiaries, SPVs, LLPs and other Group entities.
Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, financial processes and delegation-of-authority frameworks.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

3. Treasury & Cash-Flow Management

Take overall responsibility for Group treasury and liquidity management.
Optimise working capital, collections, vendor payments and cash conversion cycles.
Develop cash-flow forecasting and liquidity-management mechanisms.
Manage banking relationships and negotiate appropriate financing facilities.
Optimise the Group's debt/equity mix and overall cost of capital.

4. Fund Raising & Capital Allocation

Lead debt and equity fund-raising initiatives where required.
Evaluate project financing, structured finance, private capital and strategic investment opportunities.
Develop investment-return frameworks for allocation of Group capital.
Monitor project-level IRR, ROCE, ROI and payback periods.
Ensure capital is deployed toward businesses and projects offering appropriate risk-adjusted returns.

5. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

Oversee direct and indirect taxation across the Group.
Ensure timely statutory filings, tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
Develop tax-efficient structures while maintaining strong compliance standards.
Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel and regulatory authorities.

6. Business Finance & Commercial Decision Support

Act as a strategic finance partner to business heads.
Review pricing, margins, contracts, project economics and commercial proposals.
Establish profitability analysis by business, project, customer and investment.
Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and margin improvement.
Develop financial models for new projects, ventures and investments.

7. Risk Management & Governance

Establish an enterprise-wide financial risk-management framework.
Identify and mitigate credit, liquidity, market, operational and investment risks.
Strengthen internal audit and control mechanisms.
Ensure appropriate governance across subsidiaries and related-party transactions.
Maintain high standards of transparency, accountability and financial discipline.

8. M&A / Investments / New Ventures

Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships.
Evaluate valuation, deal structures, synergies and post-investment returns.
Support the Promoters and Board in developing the Group's portfolio strategy.
Establish financial governance for newly acquired or newly established businesses.

9. Technology & Finance Transformation

Drive implementation of scalable ERP, accounting, MIS, FP&A and business-intelligence systems.
Automate financial reporting and management dashboards.
Build a data-driven finance function with real-time visibility into Group performance.
Introduce best practices in FP&A, controllership, treasury and digital finance.

10. Leadership & Team Building

Build and lead a high-performing Group finance organisation.
Develop finance talent across corporate and business-unit levels.
Establish clear responsibilities, performance metrics and reporting structures.
Create a culture of financial ownership and accountability throughout the Group.

Candidate Profile

Education

Chartered Accountant (CA) is strongly preferred.
MBA/PGDM in Finance from a reputed institution would be an advantage.

Experience

15–20+ years of progressive experience in finance, with significant experience at CFO/Finance Director/Business Finance leadership level.
Experience managing multi-entity / diversified business groups is highly desirable.
Strong exposure to fund raising, treasury, taxation, corporate finance, M&A and strategic planning.
Experience working directly with promoters, CXOs and Boards.
